The 2D Geometry boundaries script works with Volumes (boxes, ... ) as shown in the demo, but does not support "2D Polygon colliders". However for a sidescroller/parallax game, 2D Polygon colliders are much more convenient to edit, compared to volumes (getting bounding-boxes to nicely align on slopes is doable, but not really convenient). It would be nice if 2D Polygon colliders could be supported directly ( maybe via a separate Extension ). What I currently do is edit my 2D polygon collider, select it and execute a script to extrude it into 3D ( see forum.unity.com/threads/trying-extrude-a-2d-polygon-to-create-a-mesh.102629/ ). That works really well, but native support would be more convenient

Hi,
I agree it would be convenient, but the reason why I opted for 3D colliders was because they work on every direction and the 2D colliders only work on the XY axis.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Ah right, didn't think of that use-case so understandable decision, and it's not really a big deal since you can simply extrude the 2D shape.
